Integration of Spirituality and Mental Health
I grew up in a world where everything you experience is often seen as spiritual—whether it’s a curse, energy, or something being done to you. In many communities, words like trauma or clinical terms from the DSM-5 are not commonly used to describe pain.
As I continued my journey, I pursued a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In that space, I learned that many experiences are understood through symptoms, diagnoses, and evidence-based frameworks. However, not everything can be fully explained through a clinical lens alone. Some experiences are rooted in ancestral disconnection, spiritual imbalance, and deeper layers of identity and meaning.
I come from both worlds.
I understand how spiritual imbalance can impact mental health, and how unaddressed mental health struggles can also create spiritual disconnection. When one is neglected, the other can be affected.
My work is to help bridge that gap—honoring both perspectives—so you can find balance, clarity, and alignment within yourself.
